This wedding holds a particularly special place in my heart! You might wonder why, and the answer is simple: my sister and her partner chose to celebrate their big day in our yurts! Vanessa and Sheldon envisioned a warm, intimate gathering in a rural backyard setting, graciously provided by a close friend.

We set up the Palace and Lotus yurts to accommodate around 120 guests, transforming the space into a magical oasis. The wedding colors added to the charm, with light pink flowers, brown bridesmaids' dresses, and the warm hues of fall all around. The Palace yurt featured a stunningly decorated T-shaped service table that was the centerpiece of the gathering, while the remaining seating was arranged between the two yurts.

The ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Afterward, playful photos were captured of the couple on a tractor and against the rustic charm of an old barn, adding a fun touch to their special day. The reception and heartfelt speeches then unfolded inside the yurts, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all. A delightful surprise awaited the guests as my sister Rachel and I (Selene) took the stage for a lively dance and musical performance. To bring an extra layer of intimacy to the celebration, Sheldon wowed everyone with a sitar performance.

As the evening carried on, there was an abundance of dancing and laughter, enhanced by the enchanting glow of fairy lights and tulle cascading from the main yurt wheel, adding a magical touch to the atmosphere. Although it was a chilly October night, we provided insulated heaters to keep everyone warm and comfortable.

Every detail of the day beautifully reflected Vanessa and Sheldon’s love story, making it a truly unforgettable experience for all involved. It wasn’t just a wedding; it was a heartfelt celebration of family, friendship, and love, all set against the enchanting backdrop of our yurts. We feel so grateful to have been part of this special occasion!
